Finkkle Search surfaces utility cards and knowledge panels inline with your results, so you can get answers to common tasks without leaving the search page. These tools are powered by the GET /api/utility-card endpoint and are also accessible programmatically.

Utility cards

A utility card appears when Finkkle detects a specific kind of intent in your query — a calculation, a unit conversion, a currency lookup, and so on. Cards render directly on the results page above the web results.

Knowledge panels

Knowledge panels appear for well-known entities, events, and topics. They are sourced from indexed reference content and include:
  • Entity cards — summary, image, and key facts for people, places, and organizations
  • Wikipedia panels — overview and quick facts pulled from Wikipedia
  • Shopping cards — featured product results with pricing
  • Streaming cards — what to watch tonight, with service links
  • Market cards — stock or index snapshot for financial queries
  • Sports cards — match scores, schedules, and team summaries

Goobs Translate

Goobs Translate is Finkkle’s inline translation tool. To use it:
  • Type a phrase followed by “in [language]” (e.g., good morning in Japanese)
  • Or click the Goobs Translate tab in the search bar
Goobs Translate supports dozens of languages. The translation appears in a card at the top of results, with phonetic pronunciation where available.

Utility API

Access utility cards programmatically:
The response includes the card type, display value, and metadata appropriate for the query type. Utility cards also appear automatically in standard search results when Finkkle detects a matching intent in your query.
