Ask a complete question

Use a full question or goal instead of a bag of keywords.Less effective: battery ev range

Add time context when recency matters

Include words like “latest”, “this year”, or “2024” when you want fresh results. The engine will weight recent sources higher.

Name the format you want

For structured outputs — a list, a comparison, a calculation — say so. Scout AI Search will format its response accordingly.

Inspect sources before sharing

Check the title, snippet, and domain of each result before citing or sharing it. Finkkle surfaces source metadata so you can judge credibility quickly.

The search results page

Click Scout (AI Search) on the homepage or results page to switch into AI mode. Scout reads your question, queries multiple sources, and returns a synthesized answer with inline citations. It works best for:
  • Research questions that need synthesis from several sources
  • How-to and planning tasks
  • Comparisons and pros/cons analysis
After Scout answers, you can continue the conversation directly in Finkkle Spaces to go deeper — click Continue in Spaces to carry the context over.

Use Ask Dufus

Click Ask Dufus in the search bar to open the Dufus assistant panel. Dufus can:
  • Explain or summarize results
  • Answer follow-up questions about a topic
  • Draft content, translate text, or help plan a project
  • Hand off a task to your full Spaces workspace
