Dufus: AI Coding Agent in Finkkle Igno and Studio

Dufus is the AI coding agent in Finkkle Igno. It writes, explains, refactors, and debugs code for local repos and cloud workspaces.

NoticeDufus is temporarily unavailable. Finkkle One is undergoing a major overhaul, and all Finkkle One services, including Dufus and Studio, are down or disabled until further notice. Finkkle Trends remains accessible. More details soon.

Dufus is the AI coding agent at the heart of Finkkle Igno and Finkkle One Studio. Whether you're writing a feature from scratch, debugging a tricky issue, explaining an unfamiliar codebase, or refactoring a module, Dufus works alongside you in your IDE, the CLI, or directly inside a Igno conversation.

What Dufus can do

Use Dufus in Finkkle Igno

Switch any Igno conversation to Code mode to use Dufus:

1. Start a conversation at igno.finkkle.com 2. Select Code as the conversation mode 3. Describe your coding task or paste code into the composer 4. Attach files, a GitHub repo, or a local directory as context

Dufus outputs syntax-highlighted code artifacts that you can copy, save to your workspace, or continue iterating on in the same conversation.

Example prompts:

"Implement a sliding window rate limiter in TypeScript. Include unit tests with Vitest."
"Explain what this React component does and identify any accessibility issues."
"Refactor this Python function to use asyncio and add error handling."
"Review my PR and flag any potential performance issues."

Use Dufus via Finkkle One Studio

Finkkle One Studio puts Dufus directly in your development environment:

Studio CLI commands

Once the CLI is installed:

npm i -g @finkkleone/studio

| Command | What it does | | -------- | --------------------------------------------------- | | studio | Opens a Dufus session in the current directory | | /model | Switch the active model (e.g., /model gpt-5.4) | | /fork | Branches the current conversation into a new thread | | /help | Lists all available commands |

The CLI shows your context window usage in real time — when context fills up, use /fork to branch or /clear to start fresh.

Supported languages

Dufus works across all major languages. It is especially well-tested with:

  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Python
  • Go
  • Rust
  • C / C++
  • Java
  • SQL
  • Bash / Shell

Best practices

* Give Dufus the specific file or function you want to work on — it performs better with focused context than with an entire large codebase. * Always review generated code before committing. Dufus will tell you what it changed and why. * Use /fork in the CLI when you want to explore a different approach without losing your current conversation. * Attach tests when asking Dufus to refactor — it will try to keep the tests passing.
